Horizon

Something I made in Photoshop while I was bored. PURELY Photoshop, by the way.

Detailed story:
I was on vacation with my mother, visiting my relatives to celebrate an annual reunion for the Chinese New Year (yes, I'm Chinese). I was showing off some of my artworks to my relatives while my mom commented that she liked to see the photos/3D renders with the sun looking really shiny and glorious, etc. So a small idea came up in my mind - how easy would that be to make? I set to work, dragging a simple gradient for the sky and rendering some clouds for textures, clouds (obviously), and the godrays. Then I rendered a lens flare, added some adjustments, and - boom. Sunset/sunrise scene. Another idea popped up in my mind, inspiring me to add a text effect in the center of the image. I found a good font, did some last touches, and saved. There you go, a beautiful (in my opinion) semi-realistic photo (entirely digitally created) of the horizon.
